Why did you start Albright Attack?

  • Albright Attack started out as an experiment in blog design and quickly turned into a test platform for php development in media delivery. From there we continued our concentration in picking up new techniques to make web pages java enabled along with php to make them more like 32-bit applications, so a user will intereact with the website more like local applications on their computer. All for the purpose to distribute completed applications to developers in need.

How many members does the Albright Attack Team?

  • Well that depends on how many of the creators voices you are couting. Physically...the Albright Attack team has one Creator/Developer/Graphic Designer, and one editor/photographer. Yes, only one person makes the site and one person strictly reviews content.

Why do you develop these applications?

  • Our programmer and graphic designer (currently the same guy) enjoy seeing what he can develop given the limited training. Like many good programmers he took classes a long time ago as a means to something neat and learned he had an innate abilitiy to understand complex problems. In terms of graphic design, it has become a demand in his professional career and has produced some surprisingly impressive feedback both in personal and professional avenues. So long story short, we do it because we like it.

Where do your designs come from?

  • Our designes are all original designs based on common flow techniques you will find in any basic design book. The graphic scheme was designed and rendered all in house and with exception to the wordpress and RoundCube graphics there is not one redering on this site you will find any where else, unless it was stolen from us.

What software do you use?

  • There are only three third party programs included in Albright Attack:
    • RoundCube for our email system
    • Wordpress for our blog system
    • Lightbox for a java enabled simple viewer

  • Everything else in the site is home grown, all but one of the plug-ins in Wordpress were developed to meet our needs. We also developed the API's to interface our news system with Wordpress as well as our emal system.

I heard your programmer has O.C.D. is that true?

  • Yes.

  • Yes.

Why does Albright Attack seem to go through down periods, where development seems to halt?

  • Short answer...I have a real job. Not that Web Development isn't an actual job, but I once knew this pathetic web designer named Roger who had absolutely no talent and obviously could hardly get by. Meaning you have to have some real talent to design and implement websites, if you don't have the talent...you are Roger.

So are you saying you have this "talent?"

  • Hell no! Hence, the reason I have another job and only work on this when I feel like it.

  • Pepperoni all they way.

So, where to from here?

  • Well you can always measure when crappy TV shows or re-runs are on. The site will suddenly get some updates. Besides the typical Blog entries.
